The Blogger

Call me Gem. A PR practitioner, PR writer, consultant, chef-wannabe, future food connoisseur, career woman and a dreamer. Most of the time, I am a mom (and a wife too).

The desire to start a blog came up when a client suggested that I should post my writings (press releases, web content, etc.) on the Internet because online publishing has taken control of the space. However, I finally realized that I didn’t want this blog to look like a filing cabinet. So I began blogging about things that interest me. Parenting is a great choice because much as I’d like to, I want to be there for my first born all the time and guide her in the best possible way that I could. Then maybe I could blog more about anything and all that jazz.

A writer by heart, I have been writing since High School but only took writing seriously in College where I took a degree in A.B. Communication Arts. Currently, the idea of taking a second degree such as Culinary Arts  has become a fascination and perhaps, I could blog more about food, food preparation, et. al. And maybe, I could share some healthy and mouthwatering recipes too.🙂

I have been blogging for quite some time now. But it is only on October of last year when I decided to post my own blog and not to blog for someone else’s site. In other words, this page is built to blog about the things I wanted to talk about. As you can see, I have been seriously blogging… and I am actually having fun talking about many things that run through my rather pea-sized brain. Besides, some of the posts that I write are considerably, a “good reading.”

And oh by the way, everyone’s free to say his/her own piece about this blog should you find some of my posts “debatable.” I am very much open to criticism. That’s what “comments” are made for.😉

@ Pinoyworld: Thanks too for dropping by. Let’s pray for the eternal repose of the Master Rapper’s soul and for his family too. May they find healing and comfort from God’s words.

    God bless you too.

Hi Gem. I’m writing an article for Philippine Online Chronicles about modern and non-traditional weddings in the Philippines. I’m featuring Jay Contreras’ black wedding. I was wondering if I can borrow one of the photos on your blog for my article. Please let me know if it’s OK with you. Thanks!

    Hello Gem,

Have you been to Friday’s Puerto Galera beach resort?

What can you say about it?

    Thanks,

    Renzie
