Tina Turner: Still a Private Dancer

Remember Tina Turner? Well, if you were born on the 70’s, you must have heard her music during the 80’s. Tina Turner is the diva behind the songs, What’s Love Got to Do With It, Private Dancer, and more. Well, she’s back as she takes the limelight once again for a series of concerts. Well, apparently, it’s actually a World Tour.

Reason why I am blogging about her is that I came across one of her photos posted in Yahoo! featured stories and was shocked to see her outfit. Clad in a Mad Max alien-like dress, Tina Turner just never fades! She thinks this kind of fashion is still in. I browsed through her gallery and found more photos of Tina Turner in her shocking attire.

Some things just never change. I guess she hearts the trademark that she had then. If you were a fashion consultant, what would you advise Tina Turner? What kind of outfit would fit her that will not make her lose that kind of trademark? Well, at least something that isn’t as disturbing as this. Or something that’s “appropriate” for her “age.” I’m really speechless… and disturb.

As usual, when people make postings about something they know nothing about, they end up sounding stupid. I attended the Tina Turner concert here in Montreal on the 8th of this month…The Mad Max attire was worn only when Tina was performing her big hit “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” from the 1985 big budget movie starring herself and Mel Gibson. The set was, for this particular number, to mimic the actual thunderdome from the movie, so it only stands to reason that she would be in character herself. She did not wear the outfit, nor the hair, before, or after, this particular song was performed.

By the way, that song, as well as the rest of the show, was simply fantastic.

You can say whatever you want. But she still looks hilarious with that attire especially at her age. She could’ve worn something better that still looks like a Mad Max thing. I’ve read about that concert and actually seen her website. It still looks weird to me. That’s my opinion and we are all entitled to it.

I never questioned her performance. Thank you for commenting and for reminding though.
